The Possibilites are endless...
If you had one year to live the life of your dreams....
What would you do?
A YEAR IN THE LIFE 1 November
2009 to 31 October 2010
In 2009, Meagan McGrath departed on a journey
that promises to be one of those rare and exciting
expeditions that tests the will, daring and skill
of the adventurer. In a single year, Meagan will ski
to the South Pole - Solo, and she will attempt to climb 5
of the World's highest mountains. She has already
completed her "Antarctic Odyssey", becoming the
First Canadian to ski, solo to the South Pole. This
Summer (2010), Meagan continues to live "A Year in the Life"
with her "Mountain Magic" expedition.
Climb, unguided and without oxygen, five of the world’s
tallest mountains, all exceeding 8000m, in an
effort to become the First Canadian
to summit the world’s 14 highest mountains.
Meagan will first
go to Nepal, and attempt to climb
Lhotse. The
acclimatization
and fitness she will attain during her
Lhotse climb will prepare
her for the K2 and
Broad Peak expeditions.
Following her
K2 and Broad Peak
expeditions,
Meagan will return to Nepal in an attempt to climb
Shishapangma
and Cho Oyu.
